"A letter from Legal Advocacy Fund President Sylvia Newman, of American Association of University Women (AAUW) acknowledging a contribution by our branch got me started on my involvement with Dr. Chichilnisky. Since Columbia University is near our Branch, I contacted Graciela to speak at a program. She called several times, even from Argentina, to respond. Then Charity Hirsch contacted me to join the support committee and I was honored to cooperate."
